Recycling the Un-Recyclable

There is an ever-changing question about what you can recycle and what you can't... Recently North Carolina changed their laws on what can be placed in your recycling cans. They also made it it illegal to throw plastic bottles in landfills and/or your trash. Around the holidays, these laws make it difficult to recycle many of things that come with receiving presents: styrofoam and bubble wrap is not recyclable for most of the year. Recently Rainbow Recycling teamed up with some other environmentally friendly people and organizations to take these annoying non-landfill-friendly items out of the trash. They collected any items that are normally not accepted at recycling centers. This was a great way to get the word out about what is and isn't accepted by recyclers and different ways to recycle those items anyway!
